The 29th Street Playwrights Collective knows that generous support is the greatest factor in moving a new play from page to stage.
29PWC provides three levels of support for developing new plays.
1. Weekly craft meetings with readings and feedback of scenes in progress.
2. A "First Look" table reading with professional actors, followed by feedback.
3. The New Works Series: The heart of our program! A public staged reading of the new play.
Our method has proven results!
Plays from our past New Works Series are seen on Theatre Row, in regionals and on campuses nation-wide and as far away as Perth, Australia, and heard on podcasts like TheParsnipShip.com. Click HERE for SUCCESS STORIES!

29th Street Playwrights Collective NEW WORKS SERIES is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of 29th Street Playwrights Collective NEW WORKS SERIES must be made payable to Fractured Atlas only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
