ROBBINS’ 2 1-Act plays: SAWBONES & THE DIAMOND EATER (HERE Arts Center, NYC) directed by Tazewell Thompson, received six nominations from the NY Innovative Theatre Awards (O-O-B’way), the most nominations received by any show in 2014. Her Le WEDDING DRESS was chosen from 500 scripts by the NYNew Works Theatre Festival in 2015, & was one of 24 Semi-Finalists. In 2013, SAWBONES was chosen by TACT (The Actors Company Theatre – Wall St. Journal’s 2012 “Company of the Year”) for its NewTACTics New Plays Festival of readings. Robbins has also spent many years designing costumes on B’way & Off, here & abroad. In 2012 she received the TDF Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for her body of work. In 2011 she became the 2nd costume designer only to be honored with a Monograph on her work (available: Amazon.com & DramaBookshop, NYC.) In 2008-09 she curated an exhibit at the NYPublic Library for the Performing Arts: CURTAIN CALL, Celebrating 100 Years of Design by Women for Live Performance & wrote over half the show’s profusely illustrated catalog. (Available at the Library’s 1st floor desk.) She has several Tony nominations, 6 Drama Desk Awards & Noms, Maharam, Henry Hewes, L.A. Dramalogue, Audelco, F.I.T. Surface Design, Salmagundi Fine Arts, & 3 Prague Quadrennial, among others.

Robbins’ work was recently seen in Moscow’s A.A.Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum (Costume at the Turn of the Century 1990-2015) & will move on to China shortly .
Her many wonderful grad students from NYUTisch have far surpassed her in awards, and occupy design teaching positions in major universities across the country.
