In an unflinching look at family life, racism and love in the Old South, David Sard took us on a journey in time, his beautiful characters reliving an uncomfortable period of our history while drawing us into their lives and loves in old Virginia.
An ambitious multi actor reading, Shadows boasted the largest cast presented to date by the 29th Street Playwrights Collective!
Featuring the talents of Kyle Minshaw, Ann Fleuchaus, Zane Haney, Gene Bardwell, Peter Daniel Strauss, Bob Johnson, Stephen McFarlane and the wonderful Kendra Augustin who stepped in and saved the day at the last minute! Stage directions were read by Matthew Wells, the director was Lorca Peress. Once again our thanks goes to Goddard Riverside, Bernie Wohl Center for their generosity and collaboration as well as the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for their generous support.
